| The History of Polapawz Birmans In January 2001 Dawn’s dream came true and was to be owned by the most beautiful Seal Point Birman little girl who later was to become Grand Champion Middlemay Florence (Tica Champion). Since a young teenager Dawn was obsessed with Birmans but due to being brought up in a doggie household (Chow Chows) she was never to have a cat (or so she thought). “Mom had bought me a lovely book on cats, it was then I found my perfect cat – a Birman”. I told my mother “I’m going to have lots of these beautiful cats”. My mother replied “I hope you find a man who will put up with you and these lovely cats!” Fortunately this happened! Pete found them irresistible too! Then the mission commenced ……. At the Notts and Derby Cat Show back in January 2001 we fell in love with the most beautiful Seal Point little girl (which is what Dawn had set her heart on). Not knowing what the difference was between pet, breeding or show (it did not matter), thanks to Beverley Hill (Middlemay Birmans) the dream was to become a reality and then the story begins ……….. After two weeks of the show we were finally to have our beautiful little girl. Bev had kindly brought her to us. It was then with Bev’s good advice and guidance we started to show her. The rest is history! Florence had her first beautiful babies on 31 July 2002. We were blessed with Polapawz Shere Khan (13c4) and Polapawz RobinoLoxley) (13c1). |

| The Name Polapawz The name Polapawz was quite easy actually. Dawn has a love for polar bears and when the kittens are about four weeks old they look like little polar bear cubs and hopefully they have little white paws, hence the name Polapawz! |
